Helicopter Twirls Wildly into Palm Groves at Popular Southern California Shoreline
A helicopter hovering near a crowded coastal coastline unexpectedly commenced twirling uncontrollably, ultimately dropping height and plunging into a cluster of palm trees as beachgoers observed.
Recordings uploaded online depict the chopper starting to spin near the shoreline then falling near the border of the coast, where it ends up lodged between palm trees and a steps near the Pacific Coast highway.
Emergency Response Details
Local firefighters said five people were taken to hospital comprising two individuals who were in the chopper and were “safely pulled from the wreckage” after the accident on the weekend.
Three persons on the street were harmed. Details on their condition were still under review.
The cause of the crash was still under investigation.
