Under-fire boss the Forest head coach delivered a passionate justification about his career while promising to claim silverware at Nottingham Forest if given time

The experienced manager is being questioned after failing to triumph in any of his initial seven fixtures since replacing the former manager in September

"We ended up in fifth position in my initial campaign" he noted

"Every time the star striker found the net I often thought he had remained one more year since it could have been beneficial to keep his services after finishing fifth"

"But somehow that year has disappeared from public memory" he contended

"So, we get to the existing circumstances where there remains a different story to share, that possibly I'm no a failed manager who was lucky to obtain this role"

"but perhaps I am a coach that when allowed opportunity, the tale invariably finishes the same"
